In order for companies to increase their profitability and promote business growth, it is essential for them to always keep track of sales performance. By analysing sales performance, businesses can often provide themselves with the key to finding where problems in trading operations lie and discover where there is an opportunity to further increase company turnover. However, without the right level of detailed insight into sales statistics, businesses can too often only scratch the surface of their problems. In a lot of cases, businesses can believe they have found the cause to poor sales performance in certain areas when in fact the real issue requires them to dig down a little deeper.
Therefore having the right information, at the right time and in the right format is crucial. For example, where a company frequently gives discounts or rebates to customers, the best way to analyse sales may not be to simply only look at monetary data of sales turnover, as this will not be a true reflection of unit sales. In such cases it may be better to also look at data in terms of unit quantities sold so as to allow for a better appreciation of whether unit sales are actually rising or falling.
With OrderWise Business Intelligence already providing users with a wide range of ways in which to view and analyse business data, this month’s release sees valuable new charts added to the range which allow customer sales data to be viewed in terms of ‘quantity’.
The new charts are:
The Customer Quantity chart will show the sum of all variants bought in a period by the selected customer based on their order line or invoice line quantity.
The Customer [product] Quantity chart will show the sum of the variants bought in a period under the specified product by the selected customer based on their order line or invoice line quantity.
The Customer [variant] Quantity chart will show the sum of the specified variant bought in a period by the selected customer based on their order line or invoice line quantity.
With these new charts, users are provided with a wider range of ways in which they can view and analyse key business data, meaning any issues can be promptly addressed and sales opportunities can be maximised.
