Additionally, if a customer has expressed interest in certain products but has not committed to making a purchase, you may want to give them a nudge by reminding them of the product next time they go onto your website.
To help with this, several great new enhancements have been made this month with the aim of allowing businesses with an OrderWise eCommerce Website to attract more attention and ultimately increase their sales.
The first of these is the ability to now include a 360 photograph of an item on a website product listing. Once added, a 360 icon will appear on the listing to show that this product view is available, which will then open the photograph once selected. As well as this, businesses can now also add a product hover image, that will be displayed on product pages and in search results when the customer brings their cursor over the default product image.
By offering both these as an option, businesses with an OrderWise eCommerce Website can give their online customers different views and better scope of their products, helping them to better replicate on their website the visibility and insight their customers would expect to gain in-store.
Although your website visitors may not necessarily purchase items straight away, it’s important you have the right tools to be able to nurture any interest through to the checkout.
To assist with this, users now have the option to add a recently viewed product list onto their OrderWise eCommerce Website. When this block is selected to be included on a page, any products previously viewed by the customer will be displayed, in order of most recent. If the customer has never viewed any products, the list will not show. If the customer is browsing as a guest and then they sign in to their account, the recently viewed products will still carry across.
By utilising this small but useful new enhancement, businesses with an OrderWise eCommerce Website can help convert more of their visitors into customers by successfully remarketing products to those that view them.
When it comes to account management for B2B customers, businesses want to reduce the time and money spent on administration and enquiry handling by giving customers the ability to self-serve as much as possible. However, they also still need to be able to control customers placing orders when they have gone over their credit terms.
Built for serving trade customers, the OrderWise eCommerce platform already boasts a wide range of functionality to help companies selling into the B2B space. Now two more enhancements have been added this month to further help businesses with their account management.
The first of these is the ability for businesses with an OrderWise Trade Website to allow customers to view their account statements online. If their eCommerce website is integrated to the OrderWise Accounts module, users can let their customers log into their online account where they will now be able to view and download any account statements, with the option to request to see all or just outstanding items.
As well as this, now when syncing customers from the main OrderWise system, the customer’s on hold status can now also be passed up to an OrderWise Trade Website. This means that should a customer currently on hold try to place an order with the necessary setting to prevent checkout active, the customer will be automatically prevented from using the on-account payment method. The customer will still be able to place their order, with a message appearing to say they will need to use an alternate payment method if they wish to proceed.
With these two new features, businesses selling B2B through an OrderWise eCommerce Website can benefit from greater automation that enables staff to spend less time enquiry handling, and more time capturing sales and delivering great service.
