Three reasons EPOS matters more than ever
EPOS has become more important than ever during the COVID-19...
Analysing sales performance is a crucial way for companies to discover where problems lie, which staff are performing well (or not so well), where opportunities exist and how turnover and profitability can be increased.
However, without the right level of detailed insight into sales statistics, businesses can too often only scratch the surface of their problems. In a lot of cases, businesses can believe they have found the cause to poor sales performance in certain areas when in fact the real issue requires them to dig down a little deeper.
bi 350pxIt is often the case that businesses simply do not have access to the information they need to determine where improvements in their sales operations need to be made. For example, it could be that sales of certain items are less than anticipated due to one or two territories not gaining the required volume of sales. However, it may turn out that the reason for those territories under-performing is due to one customer account or one sales rep not pulling in the numbers. Without the ability to view this vital information and take the appropriate action to improve sales performance, businesses can find that growth can start to become stagnant due to falling profitability figures.
However, not all businesses have Sales Reps and so may want to analyse sales on an order ‘taken by’ basis in order to see which staff produce more overall sales and are better at maximising through till-point up-selling.
With OrderWise Business Intelligence, companies using OrderWise are already able to reap the benefits of easily accessible performance statistics with the power to drill down to the core of any issues. With extensive visibility of sales data from a wide range of filtered grids, businesses using OrderWise Business Intelligence are able to have the reasons behind under- (and over-) performance at their fingertips.
Pre-existing functionality within OrderWise Business Intelligence already enables users to view their respective sales at the product, variant and category level for items either invoiced or sold and then drill down into this information by Customer, Territory, Account Managers or Reps.
This month sees new grids added to the Business Intelligence Module which enable a business to report based on the name in the order ‘taken by’ field. This provides more flexibility in how a business reports and analyses data and accommodates businesses that do not use Sales Reps or Account Managers in their trading operations, or may have Sales Reps taking orders on behalf of others on occasion.
As is the case with any Business Intelligence grid, information displayed can be filtered to only show data for a certain date range. In addition the usual invoice/order information columns for quantity, net values, margin and margin % are also available.
With OrderWise Business Intelligence, users benefit from an extensive range of ways to analyse every aspect of their business data. From this, OrderWise users can ensure that they have the key business metrics they need in order to make accurate and informed decisions to help promote growth.
